1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Pellet AI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including API consumers and dashboard users.
2. Description of Service
Pellet AI provides a managed inference API with intelligent routing for small language models. The Service includes an OpenAI-compatible API endpoint, a developer dashboard, usage analytics, and automated model selection. We route your requests to third-party inference providers (Together AI, Fireworks, Groq) based on task type, complexity, and your preferences.
3. Account & Authentication
- You must sign in via Google or GitHub OAuth to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys. Do not share or expose them in client-side code.
- You must not create multiple accounts to abuse free tier credits.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
4. Data Usage & License
By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Request metadata: We collect and retain request metadata — including task types, model selections, token counts, latency measurements, routing decisions, and cost data — to operate, improve, and optimize the Service.
- Aggregated & anonymized data: We may use aggregated, anonymized request data (with no personally identifiable information) to improve our routing algorithms, benchmark model performance, publish research, and enhance the Service for all users.
- Prompt & completion content: Prompts and completions are transmitted to third-party inference providers to fulfill your requests. We may log and analyze prompt and completion content in anonymized or aggregated form to improve routing accuracy, detect abuse, and enhance service quality. You retain ownership of your input and output content.
- No sale of raw data: We do not sell your raw, identifiable request data to third parties.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, probe, or attack the routing engine or infrastructure
- Circumvent rate limits, billing, or authentication mechanisms
- Use automated means to create accounts or generate fraudulent usage
- Redistribute or resell the Service without authorization
- Send content that violates the acceptable use policies of our upstream providers
6. Billing & Payments
- Free tier: New accounts receive $2.50 in credit. Free tier usage is subject to rate limits (100 requests/minute).
- Developer plan: Billed at provider cost plus a flat $0.001 per-request routing fee. Rate limit: 100 requests/minute.
- Payments are processed by Paddle. By subscribing, you also agree to Paddle's Terms of Service.
- Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.
7. API Keys & Security
- API keys are hashed (SHA-256) and cannot be recovered once created. Store them securely.
- You are responsible for all usage under your API keys.
- Revoke compromised keys immediately from the dashboard.
- All API traffic must use HTTPS.
8. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The Service depends on third-party inference providers and infrastructure. We are not liable for downtime, latency, or errors caused by upstream providers. We may perform maintenance with reasonable advance notice when possible.
9. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pellet AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.
10. Intellectual Property
- You retain ownership of your input prompts and generated outputs.
- The Pellet AI service, branding, routing engine, and dashboard are our intellectual property.
- You may not use our trademarks or branding without written permission.
11. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, abuse the Service, or fail to pay for usage. Upon termination, your API keys are revoked and your data is deleted within 30 days.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of material changes via email.
