1. Information We Collect
When you use Pellet AI, we collect the following information:
- Account information: Name, email address, and profile picture provided by your OAuth provider (Google or GitHub).
- Usage data: API request metadata including task types, model selections, token counts, latency, and costs. We do not store the content of your prompts or completions.
- Billing information: Payment details are processed and stored by our payment provider, Paddle. We do not store your credit card information.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically when you access the dashboard.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Pellet AI service
- To authenticate your identity and manage your account
- To process billing and manage your subscription
- To display usage analytics on your dashboard
- To improve routing accuracy and service performance
- To communicate important service updates
3. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. API request metadata is retained for 90 days for analytics purposes. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Infrastructure providers: Together AI, Fireworks, and Groq process your inference requests. Your prompts are sent to these providers to generate completions.
- Payment processor: Paddle handles billing and subscription management.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Prompt Data
Pellet AI acts as a routing layer. Your prompts and completions pass through our API gateway to the selected inference provider.
- Request metadata (token counts, model used, latency, task type, routing decisions) is stored for billing, analytics, and service improvement.
- Prompt and completion content may be logged and analyzed in anonymized or aggregated form to improve routing accuracy, detect abuse, and enhance service quality.
- We may use aggregated, anonymized data (with no personally identifiable information) to improve our routing algorithms, benchmark model performance, and publish research.
- Your prompts are also transmitted to third-party inference providers (Together AI, Fireworks, Groq) to fulfill your requests, subject to their respective privacy policies.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed API keys (SHA-256), and secure OAuth authentication. Database access is restricted to internal services only.
7. Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your usage data
8. Cookies
We use localStorage to store authentication tokens. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the email associated with your account.
